The Brother and Sister in Need(BSIN)

BSIN partnered with Teresian Sisters of Malambo health centre to support training of 45 farmers from Tithandizane CBO in Malambo community in Ntchisi. This 5-day training was facilitated by Kusamala and offered participants a foundation in permaculture history, ethics, principles, design process, and practical applications on soil, water ecological processes and principles, site analysis, soil formation succession and management, natural water cycle and Integrated Pest Management (IPM). The aim of the course was to help communities make positive changes and practice sustainable production and livelihoods. After the training session, they were taken for a tour at Tikondwe Freedom Gardens in Dowa to appreciate permaculture in practice.  Following the training, follow up visits are done quarterly.
