Marie attended an Agroecology Short Course at Bunda College in Lilongwe at the end of September. In a classroom of about 40 students, she was the only person representing an NGO. All other students were from various colleges and government departments. The class consisted of lectures on agroecology, group projects, a field trip and research techniques.
The course was sponsored by USAID and was one of a series of 3 courses, including grant writing and research development. Michigan State University, Lincoln University and Bunda College provided lecturers for the course.
