They are a part of the cooperative along with a group of farmers within Rural Lilongwe District. The cooperative consists of 52 members – 28 men and 24 women. The group formed ten years ago and are a solid group of farmers working together. Kusamala has been working with them this past year and are training them in permaculture techniques and market development. The three last trainings are planned within the next couple of months and will focus on finding markets for their fresh produce and developing a vision and goals on how we can work together.
